In the late 1980s and early 1990s Tim Manolis organized a Sacramento County Breeding Bird Atlas and we have all the (unpublished) data from that effort. We decided that it would be great to begin a NEW Sac BBA to document how breeding bird distributions have changed in recent decades.
The new “twist”:
eBird gives us the opportunity to invite anyone who birds the county (whether a little or a lot) to contribute data to this effort. Just note any breeding behaviors on your eBird lists (a full list of the codes is found under the ‘details’ tab on both online eBird and the mobile app).
