Sacramento Valley Conservancy Docent's Choice Birding

This is a Sacramento Valley Conservancy Event

Registration and payment are required.

The route for this outing will depend on the weather, bird migration activity, nesting activity and scouting results from the docents earlier in the week, plus input from the guests. Sunrise is at 6:30 and the weather in April can be unpredictable, so layered clothing, a hat, sunscreen and water are advisable. Docents have a fair knowledge of local wildflowers, insects and the natural landscape in addition to the local birds. So if you are curious about something, just ask and they will do their best to provide you with the information. Wear clothing in muted earth-tone colors, to blend with the terrain, and sturdy boots for uneven surfaces. Birding scopes, binoculars and/or cameras, are highly recommended for any birding outing. All levels and ages of birding enthusiasts welcome. Meet at Eagle Camp Corral at 6:45am for a prompt 7am start. High clearance vehicles are helpful in the event we carpool to a different start location.
