Beginning Birder Field Trip: Cosumnes River Preserve

These beginners’ field trips are designed to introduce new birders to the fun of birding. On this trip we will focus on waterfowl and easy shorebirds. We should see at least 6 species of ducks, plus dowitchers, sandpipers, possibly snipe, cranes, egrets, herons and harriers. Scope views will make identification easier. With 3 Audubon trip leaders, it’s a low-key introduction to finding and identifying birds. Registration is required.
