Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club
The mission of the Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club is to improve young birder connections and increase awareness of birding opportunities for youth in the Sacramento Valley. This club was founded as of 2024, by its current leader, Mackenzie Hollender, and is hosted by the Sacramento Audubon Society. Any person aged 11-18, residing in Sacramento and surrounding counties, with an enthusiasm for birds is eligible to join!
We have field trips 2-3 times a month as well as other events such as museum visits. Participation is limited to members of the Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club. Club members communicate about our favorite birds and local opportunities via a workspace in the Slack Messaging platform. Feel free to email any questions to sacaudubonyoungbirders@gmail.com.
