Field Trip Leader: Ron Storey

We will meet at Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility in Petaluma at 9:00 am where we will have a brief walk in search of Least Bittern. We will head to Bodega Bay from Ellis Creek and the itinerary for the trip will be determined from what is reported the week before the trip. Please bring a lunch and plan for cold and hot weather, as we will be at the Pacific Ocean and the weather is unpredictable. 

Meeting Location: Meet Ron at the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility in Petaluma.

Directions: From Sacramento drive west on Hwy 80 to Vallejo. In Vallejo take Hwy 37 West towards San Rafael/Novato. Turn right onto Lakeville Highway (approximately 22.5 miles and the second traffic light after getting onto Hwy 37). Go approximately 14 miles and turn Left on Pine View Way (first left turn after passing sewer ponds the left side) and go to the end of the street. Turn left on Cypress Dr and go straight into the Ellis Creek Water Recycling Facility’s parking lot where the road makes a turn to the left. Go through the gate and you will see parking in a very short distance. If you miss Pine View Way, don’t panic, you can turn left on S McDowell Blvd and go to Cypress Dr.
