Located near the southwestern tip of Sacramento County in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Brannan Island State Recreation Area is surrounded by the Sacramento River on the west, Three-Mile Slough on the southeast, and Seven-Mile Slough on the northeast. The sloughs provide opportunity to see both waterfowl and shorebirds. A three-mile flat paved loop trail winding around the island travels through riparian, woodland, and lawn habitat, with opportunity for everything from woodpeckers to sparrows. Parking and bathrooms are available at the site.

Parking & Fees: A $10 car day-use parking fee is required at the site.

Meeting Location: Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location and time will be provided to registrants.
