Field Trip Leader: Bill Bianco

Bill will bird the old Ramsey Fire (2012) site, located in eastern Calaveras County at 6600 ft. elevation. It is a 2 - 2.5 hr. drive from the meeting site. We plan to walk the fire roads looking for woodpeckers, Western Tanagers, and the other passerine birds. Depending on time, we may stop at the Stanislaus River campground for additional birding. The trip will last until late afternoon. Bring lunch, liquids, insect repellent, sunscreen, and FRS radios for drive communication.

Meeting Location: Meet Bill at the Twin Cities Road Park and Ride Lot near Galt.

Directions: From Sacramento, take Hwy 99 south to Twin Cities Rd./Hwy 104, Exit #277; turn left ( east) on Twin Cities; cross the freeway and turn right (south) on Stockton Blvd. The Park & Ride is just south of Twin Cities Rd.

COVID 19 Precautions: All participants, including field trip leaders, must be vaccinated.
