This 320 acre gem outside of Davis houses resident hawks and Great Horned Owls. It can also be a warbler and oriole stop-over. A Burrowing Owl preserve is present, as well as new grassland trails. As the season progresses, Lazuli Buntings may be seen. Depending on time, we may have a chance for a later walk through the South Fork Preserve towards Mace Boulevard. A parking fee is only required for those doing archery. Two sets of port-a-potties are on site.

Meeting Location: Meet Nancy at the Grasslands Regional Parking lot as you enter.

Directions: Take Interstate 80 toward Davis, then take exit 75 at Mace Boulevard. Turn left on Mace and proceed about 4 miles to Grasslands Regional Park on the left, near the junction of Mace Blvd. and Tremont Road.

COVID 19 Precautions: All participants, including field trip leaders, must be vaccinated.
