  • Mather Lake Regional Park 4111 Old Eagle's Nest Road CA, 95655 United States (map)

Registration is NOT required for this field trip.

Field Trip Leaders: Susan Goodrich and Jane Van Kessel

Join Susan and Jane at one of our most popular birding locations to look for a nice variety of resident and migrant birds, including raptors, water birds and small passerines. Possibilities include White-tailed Kites, California Quail, Pied-billed Grebe, and the occasional Green Heron and American Bittern. This is a great trip for beginners and more experienced birders. Either a $7 per car entrance fee is required or a Sac County parking pass is valid here. Bathrooms are available on site. Heavy rain cancels the trip.

Meeting Location: Meet in the parking lot of Mather Regional Park, 4111 Old Eagle’s Nest Road, Mather, CA.
