Join Dan for a morning walk identifying gulls and riparian species along the American River downstream of Lake Natoma and Nimbus Dam. Mergansers, goldeneye and cormorants should be plentiful, and raptors, including Osprey, Bald Eagle, and Peregrine Falcon are always a welcome sight. Spotting scopes are useful, as are field guides and the various birding apps for identification. Prepare for variable weather. This trip ends late morning.
