Field Trip Leader: Dan Williams

Escape the valley heat with Dan for this late summer excursion to find migrating shorebirds. Destinations will depend on tides and recent reports but could include Wetlands Edge Park in Napa County, Shollenberger Park in Petaluma, Novato Airport Ponds, or Abbots Lagoon at Point Reyes for a variety of shorebird habitats. Bring lunch and plenty of water.

Meeting Location: Meet at the Park & Ride off I-80 at West Capitol Ave in West Sacramento by 7am. We will plan to return by 5 or 6pm. From Sacramento, take the West Capitol Avenue, Exit #81, turn left at the light, and then left again into the Park & Ride lot. Meet in the southeast section of the parking lot.
