On this morning walk we’ll visit some different spots on the river, then check out the heron rookery and the pond area. Nesting birds are more visible and more vocal, so we should see a good variety. This is a great trip for beginners. A Sacramento County Parks Pass, or $6 entry fee is required for all vehicles.

Meeting Location: Meet Cathie at the William Pond Parking lot at the 1st parking lot on your left, just past the entrance kiosk. 

Directions: From the intersection of Fair Oaks and Arden, follow Arden east, just under 1 mile, as it runs into the park.

COVID 19 Precautions:

• All participants must register in advance to attend this field trip. Registration for this field trip will be limited to 16 participants.

• All participants, including field trip leaders, must be vaccinated.
