Field Trip: Woodland Wastewater Treatment Plant, Yolo County

Registration is NOT required for this field trip.

Field Trip Leader: Mark Martucci

Woodland Wastewater Treatment Plant is an outstanding location for viewing wintering waterfowl, grebes, gulls, and shorebirds. We will spend three to four hours exploring the ponds and surrounding fields. If you have a scope, it would be very helpful.

Directions: To reach WWTP, take I-5 from Sacramento continuing past the Airport. Turn off on the first Woodland Exit, #536 Road 102. Go south on Road 102 about one mile to the light at Road 24 on the left and Gibson Road on the right. Turn left onto Road 24 and continue to the gravel parking area near the north pond.

COVID 19 Precautions: All participants, including field trip leaders, must be vaccinated.
