The 24th Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is February 12- 15, 2021. During this annual event, bird watchers of all ages count birds to create a snapshot of what birds are where. Open to anyone worldwide, the GBBC helps scientists study the numbers and movements of birds from year to year.

Participants are asked to count birds for as little as 15 minutes (or as long as they wish) on one or more days of the four-day event and report their sightings online at birdcount.org. Anyone can take participate, whether a beginning bird watcher or an expert.
