Grab your costume and get outside for the first ever Owl-O-Ween at Effie Yeaw Nature Center. It’s sure to be a hoo-hoo-hoot!
Take a guided hike through the Nature Study Area with multiple Halloween-style stations along the way, and enjoy exhibitors strategically placed throughout the replica Nisenan Maidu village for safe visiting.*
This event’s planning holds safety and social distancing as a priority, so pre-registration is required. All hikes will be scheduled in intervals and can hold a maximum of two cohorts (households) of five for a total of ten participants per group to ensure safe distance between group members
Costumes: We would love to see your costumes! However, please note that Halloween masks are NOT a replacement for the regular health masks. Masks must be worn over the mouth and nose at all times.

Timeslots are between 1:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. include a one-hour exploration of village exhibits and the guided hike.
