SPIU! Event
Location:  Arcade Creek near Auburn Blvd and Manzanita, Carmichael
Time: 9:00 a.m. - noon

Join the Arcade Creek Adopt A Creek project for some clean up of the trash in and adjacent to Arcade Creek as it crosses under Auburn Blvd near Manzanita. The trash in this creek is negatively impacting habitat for salmon and steelhead and the creek desperately needs some love. Meet at Arcade Creek Park at 5613 Omni Drive. From there you will caravan to the clean up location near Mountain Mike’s Pizza on Auburn Blvd.  Be sure to wear sturdy shoes- waterproof shoes if you have them! And if you happen to own a pair of waders, those could also come in handy. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

Participation in any SPIU! events is at your own risk. If you participate in any group events promoted by Sacramento Picks it Up!, you agree to hold harmless any organizer, person, and/or organization involved.  

SAFETY FIRST!  We always recommend good quality gloves and use of a trash picker, plus sturdy shoes.  Terrain may be uneven, wet or muddy.  Long-sleeves and long pants are advised. All events are BYOB (buckets) & G (gloves and grabbers)!  Please also bring your own water and snacks.   We have extra supplies to loan out if anyone needs anything.
