Field Trip Leader: Rachael Cowan

Join Rachael for an approximately 3 mile walk in this 430-acre National Audubon Sanctuary managed by Sacramento Audubon. We will walk to the rivers’ overlook where the Bear River flows into the Feather River looking for resident and wintering birds such as Hermit Thrush, Fox Sparrow, crowned sparrows, both towhees and various raptors along the way. Come and admire habitat restoration efforts. Bring a snack to enjoy by the river. This trip will end by noon.
