SAS Field Trip: Cache Creek Nature Preserve, Yolo County

Registration is required for this trip and will be limited to 10 participants. Please email Maureen to register.

Field Trip Leader: Maureen Geiger

In the past, Sac Audubon offered several field trips to this Preserve, but it has been some years. Join Maureen as we revisit this wonderful area which contains wetlands, marsh, riparian, oak savannah, and grassland habitats representative of Northern California. Felicia Wang will introduce the Conservancy and give a short talk on the history of the Preserve and what we might see. This hike will be about 2.5 miles on dirt trails with some shade and some open areas. Walk should be finished by noon.

A liability waiver will be required at the Preserve. The link will be sent when upon registration or copies will be available at the Preserve that morning. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy walking shoes and long pants as there are ticks. Bug spray, hats and water bottles are recommended. There are restrooms at the parking lot.

Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location and time will be provided upon registration.
