Young Birders Club Field Trip: North Natomas Regional Park

The very first Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club field trip!

This is a Young Birders Club field trip. Participation is limited to members of the Sacramento Valley Young Birders Club. Registration is through the young birders club Slack. Please go to www.sacramentoaudubon.org/young-birders-club to become a member.

Explore this bustling suburban bird spot with us! Our route will go along the lake and into the baseball park and grasslands behind. Notable Birds we could see include: Ring-necked Pheasant, Common Merganser, Great Blue Heron, Northern Flicker, American Pipit, Western Meadowlark, Savannah and Golden-crowned Sparrow, Cooper’s Hawk. Bathrooms are available at the baseball park. Snacks are recommended. The trail may be slightly muddy, so be sure to wear appropriate shoes.
