Have you ever arrived at a location, opened your car door, and been immersed in bird song?  That is exactly what happens at Beek’s Bight!  Join State Parks on Saturday, May 25th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am for some birding!

For this program, we are going to remain in and around the parking lot to find all the birds we can in one location.  We will be practicing the art of a “sit spot” by quietly sitting and becoming part of the landscape.  The birds will get used to our presence and reveal themselves to us as we patiently wait.  For part of our time together, we will spread out away from each other to enjoy the quiet peace of nature.

This event is wheelchair friendly and accessible for all.  Bathrooms are available in this location.  Please bring water and sun protection.  Feel free to bring your nature journal, sketch book, water colors, or other are supplies to add to the experience.  Binoculars/spotting scopes and camp chairs are recommended.  We do have a few binoculars and chairs to loan out by request.
