Field Trip Leader: Kevin Thomas

As winter sets in on the Central Valley, we will take a leisurely walk along the American River starting at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery parking lot and working our way downstream along the foot trails that parallel the river. We should get good looks at the local resident birds and run into local wintering species. Expect easy walking with frequent stops to scan the river, riparian habitat, and surrounding bluffs to see what interesting birds we can find.
