Help Build Boxes for Kestrals

Sacrmento Audubon would like to introduce you to Brysan Polhemus, a 17 years old Eagle Scout. Brysan has been a part of Scouts since first grade and is now a senior patrol leader of Scout Troop 386B. Brysan reached out to Sacramento Audubon to see if we could help spread the word about his Eagle Project.

For his Eagle Project Brysan is building American Kestral Bird Boxes for the Effie Yeaw Nature Center. To date he has built 12 boxes, but he needs your help in funding the rest of the project. You can donate to Brysan’s project through his GoFundMe site.

From Brysan:

American Kestrels are small endangered falcons. They are endangered due to loss of nesting and feeding habitats. These habitats are destroyed during the development of new residential areas and farm lands, removal of trees in agriculture fields, and increased predation by hawks. My goal of building these boxes is to create a safer environment for American Kestrels. I have researched and calculated the appropriate measurements to build the boxes for the falcons to thrive. I am asking for your help and would appreciate any donations you are able to give to achieve my goal of protecting and sustaining the American Kestrels.
